UGH, another crazy day. Every day I promise myself that I’m not going to yell, and everyday, I stand in front of the cabinet looking for Tylenol because I’ve given myself a headache from yelling so much.
My husband sent me a link to a blog today that made me laugh… http://reasonsmysoniscrying.tumblr.com/
I read through the blog about reasons my son is crying, and said, yep, I’ve done that, and that, and that! It’s crazy because you try to keep your kids safe, raise them with manners and to be a good person, have them eat reasonably healthy, and of course let them have fun! But in the effort, you are constantly reminded that they don’t really care what the end goal is, they just want, what they want, when they want it… PERIOD!
We have a saying in our house for littleBee4… “It’s a new day!” Sounds fairly common, but doesn’t mean what you’d think. In our house it’s a constant reminder that littleBee4 just doesn’t remember what you told him yesterday, or the day before, or even what you’ve told him everyday for the past 3 years of his life. He literally forgets some of the craziest things… like putting on his jacket, not that he can’t put his jacket on, but he forgets that the hood on the jacket was not made to keep his bum warm. He will walk around with it on upside down and act as if this is the way that he has ALWAYS worn his coat. Now, it’s not because he’s silly, or a clown, he seriously has no clue that something is wrong! Just the other day, he forgot how to hold his fork, even though he’s had months of successful fork use, today he just completely forgets how to do it!
YES, littleBee4 is a BOY, and I have 3 other children, all girls! I’ve been told that boys learn a a slower pace, and have even had many parents say that boys are just plain dumb. I have 3 children, the same age, so it’s impossible to not compare them to each other, but man, he is SO much different than the girls, in absolutely every aspect of life.
Maybe you already know what I’m talking about and have some stories of your own, and if you do, please share, but if you don’t believe me or think I’m just being mean… I’ve decided to catalog why I feel this way, with specific examples, pictures, and maybe even videos.
Stay tuned… more proof as to why the girls win this point of the battle!
