UGH! Nothing is worse than walking into the little ones room and finding poop everywhere, and an empty diaper lying on the floor. Well, ok…. finding 3, or 4, or more empty diapers with a TON of poop everywhere is much worse, but either way, it is not what anyone wants to have to clean up.
I know this happens to many moms and dads out there, and this happened to me with littleBee1, so I started using packing or shipping tape with a dispenser, to combat those little fingers. Since I only experience this issue at nap and night time, I only use the tape at those times of the day. You can try to use the minimal amount of tape and wrap from hip to hip, but I suggest you go all the way around and make sure the tape is connected at the back. This makes it almost impossible for those little fingers to find the end and remove the tape.
Of course it will take you a few second longer during diaper changing and please make sure that the tape only sticks to the diaper, and not the little ones delicate skin.
I’ve used this tape with both disposable and cloth diapers, and this tape doesn’t leave any kind of residue on the cloth. I use Scott brand because hubbyBee buys a large quantity from Costco for work, and this tape works great. I’m sure other brands will work just as well, but if you notice the little fingers still pealing the tape off, you may want to spend a couple extra cents on the good stuff, it’s well worth it. This time saving tip will cost you about $3.50 for the tape and dispenser.
If you have any picture of your bedroom poop stories, I’d love to see them and post them to the blog.

OMG!!!! Yep, been there, done that. Poop everywhere!!!!!! Naked babies everywhere! I also used the tape, most of the time had to resort to duct tape since my three were so resourceful. Most people did not believe me when I told them. I would send pictures but I was usually so busy giving baths, changing beds, cleaning carpets that I did not get too many pictures. Hahaha
Your three and mine are pretty much the same age so……how do I potty train three? All of them have used the potty in the mornings on different occasions.
